Message of the day—June 24, 2016

Five of Pentacles: Unfortunately we're continuing on a negative pattern concerning relationships, work, life in general. The meaning of this card is that the subject is depressed by their current condition. They are so depressed in fact that they are slumped over and ready to give up. What they can't see, or refuse to see, is that there is a miraculous energy right above them. Though it may seem dark there is hope and others who are willing to help out. Reach out to your local safehome, salvation army, talk to your doctor and ask for free counseling. Read. Have a spa day. Exercise, eat more fruits--love yourself! Do anything you can to make life better. Sometimes it seems as if no one cares, but there are many out there who do. Remain positive, you just never know when things will get better. Have hope. Simple hope. One good thought, good action, good word leads to the next. Negative thinking only breeds more of the same. If the Universe wanted you to give up, it would have made it happen already. Quite the opposite, you are meant to rise up and succeed. You are meant for great things. Sometimes on the sunniest day a band of clouds will form and block out the sun, but eventually those clouds go away. Have faith that even when it's dark, the sun is out there somewhere. The light is in you, the light is everywhere. You are light, you are hope. Good days are coming.

Peace

Why good people do bad things

I was asking the Universe a lot of questions last week about why some people get hurt and others do the hurting, and this is the response that came to me. Mind you, I don't hear Spirit or get big visions, I receive guided intuition and feel in my heart if it's right nor not. That's how I channel. It's still a learning process, but over this last year I have learned to listen and trust what comes through. What I was told was that the reason why some people hurt others, especially those they seemingly love and care about, is because they are not listening to their inner guidance, Spirit, etc. and are currently at a place where they are ego driven—which means they live off of fears, anger, base needs, wants, selfishness. It doesn't mean they're bad, it means they are in an infant stage of spiritual development and can't, and don't want to, change just yet. They could read the Bible all day, every day, but because they cling to the ego they're not going to feel how truly devastating some of their behavior is. When they hurt another person, it's a sickness. They are stuck in a dark place and can't feel because they are literally unwell in so many ways, but can't see it because they think it's normal.

Let's say you have a mother who won't allow her daughter to grow up. She won't buy her nice clothes, won't let her get her hair done, ears pierced, won't let her wear makeup or go out on any dates, and the daughter is old enough to do all of these things. The mother is being selfish, and to be honest, mean. She's stopping the girl's growth and free will because of what SHE wants, not what the daughter wants. If she steps back and directs things with a more heart-centered viewpoint, really listens to her daughter, she'll trust that all will be well by letting the girl make her own choices---something we all must do as we grow up and become adults. She's stuck in a place of fear because maybe when she was young she acted wild and got in trouble, or maybe she was never allowed to do anything and resents the fact. But still we ask, why. Why can't the mother know that she's being unreasonable? Why can't some people feel this inside of themselves? The answer is, they're not ready. Consider yourself lucky to be one of those with compassion and sensitivity. Send out light and love to those who aren't. Eventually they will develop these skills (we all do) through loss or change. But for now, they are incompetent and have no skills to understand.

Using another example, let's say you have a husband who won't let his wife go, even if she's told him that it's over and that she wants a divorce. He spies, manipulates, uses control tactics to keep her around--to the point where she could never love him again because he's violated her personal space so much and cut off her off from the world that she's now a victim. Even when she tells him how she feels, he's angry and says it's all her fault because she can't love him the way he wants. Why would he do that, knowing deep inside that it's driving her away, as opposed to making her want to come closer? The reason is he's afraid--so afraid that it's blinded him from feeling her inner turmoil and loss. He's afraid if he does try to understand her viewpoint, he'll lose a battle that he's set himself up to win--come hell or high water. And he must not lose. He'll lie, steal, spy, do anything to win. The truth is he won't win because you can't make someone love you. He has to find self-love, because when you learn how to love yourself, you can love and extend compassion to anyone and anything. Maybe when he was a child his mother left him for work. Maybe she HAD to work to pay the bills, but he took it as a personal attack. He's never gotten over that feeling of being abandoned, and now his wife has become his mother--he's angry and won't ever let it happen again. Once more, he has to learn to love himself. He has to understand that marriage and divorce can sometimes be part of the life cycle. It doesn't have to be personal, it just is. He can be whole and find happiness, but first he must let go of the toxic cycle, and move on so a healthier one can come to be. His wife will be healed, and he will be healed. They both win.

In any situation, the problem is we are all at different stages of spiritual/personal development. Some of us are beginners, some of us are experts. Send love out to all, and develop love inside of yourself, as a gift to yourself. That's where it starts. We are all conveyors of Divine Love. It starts with us, leaves us, heals us, heals each other, and comes back again. This doesn't mean you allow others to hurt you--that's actually the point: if you love yourself you won't allow others to hurt you, and you won't do the hurting.

I hope this helps. I'll try to write more as I'm inspired to do so. Thanks for reading and many blessings to you!

Peace.

Tarotscope for Cancer, 2015

Cancer 2015

Queen of Pentacles—In the month of January, Cancer might well be languishing in things luxurious and abundant. Bath oils, nice clothing, gift cards for their favorite restaurant. Or perhaps they are reaping the rewards of a home-based business. It’s a time of being grounded and seeing the rewards of good ideas, good effort, and just anything  . . . good!

Ace of Pentacles—If you thought it couldn’t get better, you were wrong. In February, Cancer will once again be hauling in the swag. Aces are seeds of prosperity, but they can also be the windfall of something desired. Maybe it’s money you want, or a fresh start in life. Aces can also be secret wishes of the soul. Like, a healthy salad instead of a greasy burger. The Universe knows what you want and what you need, and this month, you’ll get it.

Death (Transformation)—March brings the end of something you’d grown all-too-comfortable with. Your life was looking like a worn-out couch, and sometimes action is needed. Maybe a relationship has gone far past its shelf date? It started a long time ago and has ingrained itself deep into your veneer. But is it really serving you the way it should? Does it still bring vitality to your existence? If not, then it’s time to wake up and break free from the chrysalis.

Knight of Wands—In April, there’s a new idea sizzling like a Fourth of July sparkler inside Cancer’s beautiful heads. They want to present it to the world, but must make sure it’s grounded in reality. They want it to work out, not fizzle out. If it’s about romance, Cancer would be well advised to take some time before committing themselves to any decision. This knight dashes in and out with the same speed as a bolt of lightning. Either way, it’s better to think now and act later.

Six of Swords—Someone’s planning on taking a trip in the month of May, a journey. It may be actual, or emotional, but if it leads to calmer waters, it’s a trip they must embark on. What remains that you haven't yet learned, Cancer?

The Star—There’s something sparkly about you. Luminescent. Is it the way you pose, like Marilyn Monroe under a theater marquee, or just an ‘otherworldly’ charm that can’t be explained? Whatever it is, Cancer, in June everything about you is radiant and beautiful. It’s heavenly.

Judgement—In July, the doors will open toward new possibilities, and it’s up to you if you want to cross through, or stay behind. Some people prefer learning life’s lesson over and over. Some prefer trying out newer avenues. Old lesson, new lesson? It’s up to you to decide. Anyone for leftovers?

Four of Cups—In August you might feel a little snoozy, Cancer. You’ve been taking in the sun, languishing in the waves, and now it’s time for a little nap. But wait, an opportunity that might benefit you shows up, and it’s good. What are you going to do? Take that nap, or reach for the cup of life?

Three of Cups—This card often stands out to me as a mother and her children, and all the happy times they’ve had together. If you have children, this is a reminder to enjoy the bonds you share—bonds that can never be broken in any eternal way. If it’s not about children, dear Cancer, maybe it’s friendship you cherish, or a joining of like minds in your community. Or maybe someone’s getting, or attending, a wedding. Could it be yours?

Seven of Cups—In September, there might be an array of choices at your disposal. What is it you really want, Cancer? Take some time to consider each one, but don’t let it confuse you. You might be experiencing some psychic ability. Or creative impulse. Each cup overflows with promise. Close your eyes and let it bloom.

Eight of Swords—If someone blindfolded you, led you into an elevator and spun you around, would you know how to get out when the doors opened? A door will open, Cancer. In October, you might be feeling a little trapped by someone, or something. But there is a way out.

King of Swords—Some people cut with steel, some with words. Words can be seen as swords—they leave internal scars. In December, you might deal with a man who can yield his words like razor-sharp objects. But maybe you prefer that. The truth is always better than lies. His message might be internal—your instinct is in fine form! If this is a real person in your life, he’s found a way to cut deep into the dark, pulsing sanctuary of your heart. It’s up to you if you want to let him in.

Cancer, your year looks to be full of success, love and spiritual growth. I’d say it’s almost perfect! Don’t be afraid to move on with every new level that presents itself. Take time to listen to your internal voice. It’s a goldmine!

Happy 2015, Cancer. Peace.

Seeing through the fog

I'm so happy that it's sunny today! There's nothing that makes me more cheerful than a bright, clear sky. I hate to admit my emotional propensity to the weather, but it's true! I really do love a sunny day, and no matter how I've tried to do reverse psychology on myself, it just doesn't work. Give me that sun! It's an instant mood lifter.

I wanted to talk today about justice, and karmic justice in particular. I was upset about something that's been going on in my life and kept tripping over it until the point where it was ridiculous. Why would this particular person do this to me? What was I going to do about it? How do I stop them from doing it again, and when would I receive retribution for all they've put me through? Well, I laid out a tarot spread and right there in front of me was the answer: I was to do nothing. Absolutely nothing. The person in mind came up in the cards, then some of their less-than-positive actions, and wrapped around it was Judgement and Justice. Divine Justice.

So often we seek revenge for things that have happened to us, forgetting that true payment is coming, and on a much bigger scale. Wash your hands of revenge. It's not up to you, or me.

I truly love that this is how the Universe works. I'm neither sad that I don't get to do my own act of revenge, nor do I feel useless. I'm so happy that it's being dealt with in the proper way. My job is to sit back, have faith, and live my life in the most honest, altruistic way possible. We are to forgive, but not necessarily forget. That's the only way to move on and heal. The problem is, sometimes we get hurt so frequently that it becomes hard to recover. But that's another issue . . .

I'd rather talk about Paris. Dear Paris. They have just recently endured an act of human-forced Justice, and look how much pain it has caused—how much doubt and darkness. We must not enforce our own violent acts of control over others. We must not. So often we are wrong. It takes away the innocence of the world when we do these things. Now Paris, the city of love, is the city of fear and shadows. So sad. I hope they can recover from this and move on and be the beautiful empire of love and light that we so admire. Remember, they gifted to America the Statue of Liberty—a true offering of peace and humanity. That gift has given so many an incredible sense of hope—hope for real justice. From her torch, to the tip of the Eiffel Tower, we send healing to you.

For today's cards, I decided to choose from the Earth Magic Oracle Deck and Doreen Virtue's Angel Tarot Cards. And what I pulled was Fog—Veiled, and Nine of Fire (wands).

It's funny, I often identify the 'Veiled' card with my cat Opera. She's dark and moody and likes to hide and watch things from a distance. How appropriate! I think what this card is telling us is that, no matter how murky and hidden things appear, there is still clarity available to us. We just have to wait and trust. Believe me, I know all too well how hard it is to wait! But when we rush things, and especially in times of uncertainly, we are only asking for less-than our value, or clunkers that require even more time, effort and money. It's all about trust. ETA: I just thought about how I opened this post and thought it was funny that this card appeared. Maybe the universe is telling me to stop being so glum when it's cloudy outside!

The Nine of Fire card tells us not to give up on our important endeavors, because wonderful things are just around the corner. Protect that which you've worked so hard to achieve. Don't give away your most sacred gifts to those who will only destroy them. Be steadfast and willing to stand your ground. If it matters to you, it matters. Period.

Take care, my friends. Peace, love and light.
