An Introduction

As you can see, I've moved anything that has to do with tarot onto a new blog and so, once again, bear with me as I work this whole thing out. First and foremost I am a beginner, so mistakes will happen! But hopefully this blog will provide guidance and outweigh any bumps that might occur on the road to perfection (as if such a thing really existed!). I also hope to learn more about astrology so I can mix everything together and be of more use to anyone who might need it!

The good news is I am looking to fine tune my craft, so if you'd like a free tarot reading, go ahead and introduce yourself in the comment section below, and I'll do my best to accommodate. Thank you and many blessings!

  1. Amy, I'm happy to volunteer. By way of introduction, I'll say I've only had one Tarot reading, in 1969. I was working as an English composition tutor at a community college and one of my students did a Tarot reading for me. She said she saw me working outdoors --which I thought remarkable because I worked hop harvests in the summers. But she said that wasn't it. She said I would work in the open for a long time. Things happened fast back then and I never saw her again. 10 years later, for reasons listed in my blog profile, I went back outdoors to work, as a gardener, and remained outdoors until retiring in 2009. The reading reflected more than coincidence, and a little went a long way. I would be most appreciative if you would include me as a subject in this fascinating art.

    1. Sounds good, Geo. Is there any specific question you'd like to have answered, or just a general reading for your life and goals at this time?

    2. A general reading would do nicely. Most kind!

    3. Okay, here's what I have for you, Geo, and thanks for offering yourself up for a reading.

My summary is that you have a lot of creativity going on at the moment, or maybe just a lot of ‘being in your head.’ I pulled a 7 of cups for the issue at hand, which signifies creativity, wishes, contemplation, sometimes delusion. You have a lot of wand cards in your reading, so maybe you're about to start up a new venture? You might be guarded about these ideas and the competition around them--but you shouldn't be as it looks as if you are well adept to handle any opposition; you are calm, stately, and have a good sense of enterprise. You were crowned by the Knight of Pentacles (money, earth) so maybe you’re thinking about making money off earthly endeavors, or perhaps you’re waiting to get word about money, and it looks like it could be a positive thing.

As for matters of the heart, there might have been, or is, a female water sign in your life. She may have been fair, honest, loving and someone who brought (or will bring) a lot happiness to you. However, there might have been some recent sadness in matters of love. Maybe a separation, and with that, a wish for privacy. But the good news is that your final outcome card is the Nine of Cups, and that is the fat and happy card—it’s all about getting what you want in regards to home, family, and relationships in general. Also, The Magician card came up for you, which means you have the ability and opportunity to manifest that which you most desire. So definitely put that to good use!

Your friends and family see you as dark, impassioned, creative, and emotional. You might be a fire sign, and you are friendly and honest.

So overall, a nice reading. A lot going on with the imagination, creativity, perhaps some heartbreak and wishing to find balance, but you appear to be good at keeping things level and will be successful in the future.

And that’s my reading, Geo. I hope you enjoyed it!

    4. Very impressive reading, Amy, and largely correct. It does take a long time to settle an income upon oneself to allow retirement and lately, after 5 years of leisure, I've had to learn new methods of organizing things or risk ruin. So far, so good --but some parts of it are very hard for me to understand. As to the "heart" I've long been stabilized by one whose name means "maid of the sea", which definitely qualifies as a water sign. The rest of your reading is quite encouraging and I appreciate it very much. I think you have a gift here --because I feel you have given me one. Thank you.

    5. It was fun to do! And I'm glad about being wrong with the matters of the heart. That part made me sad, so it's good to hear things are well. I'm so, so happy to have had the chance to do a reading on someone other than myself. Thanks much, Geo!
